Foz do Iguaçu Airport recorded 235,000 passengers in September 2026, 28.3% more than the same month in 2025.
ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) reported that Foz do Iguaçu Airport handled 235,000 passengers in September 2026. This figure includes both departures and arrivals and represents a 28.3% increase compared to September 2025, when 183,111 passengers were recorded.
This growth indicates that more travelers are arriving by air to the Triple Frontier region, which may lead to a greater flight offering, more competitive fares, and increased activity in ground-transport services such as buses and taxis between the airport and downtown.
For those planning to travel, it is advisable to monitor the flight schedule and ground-transport availability, as high demand can cause queues at boarding and arrival points. Always check the official airport website or the /aeroporto-foz-hoje page to confirm times and possible last-minute changes.
What this means for you:
- If you plan to fly into Foz, expect more flight options and possibly lower prices.
- Book your ground transport in advance, especially if traveling in the early days of September, when demand is usually higher.
- Check flight status on the day of travel to avoid surprises and ensure a smooth ride to downtown.
