The Municipal Tourism Secretariat of Foz do Iguaçu projects an average occupancy of 80% across lodging establishments during the extended All Souls' Day holiday on November 2, 2026. The survey indicates 88% occupancy for inns and 79% for hotels.
The survey conducted by the Division of Statistics and Tourist Studies (DVEET) of the Municipal Tourism Secretariat (SMTU) evaluated 92 of the 111 establishments with a current license. The results show that for the All Souls' Day holiday, the overall occupancy expectation is 80%, with inns projecting 88% and hotels 79%.
A historical comparison shows that the 2026 rate is similar to that of 2023, when the average occupancy was 81% and inns also had an 88% expectation. In 2021, the projection was 74% overall, with 100% for inns and 70% for hotels.
According to the survey chief, Sheila Domingues, the index reflects a sustained flow of visitors throughout the year, even during periods traditionally associated with more reflective travel.
