Structure resumed operations at 10 a.m. on October 31, 2026

The Waterfall Walkway at Iguaçu Falls, which leads to the Devil's Throat viewpoint, was reopened this Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 10 a.m., in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. The decision came after the Iguaçu River flow dropped to 6.8 million liters per second, within the established safety limits.

The walkway, which had been closed from October 11 to 30 due to the river’s increased flow, reopened to visitors after specialists assessed the conditions and reinstalled the guardrails. During the closure, the flow peaked at 17.7 million liters per second on October 26, exceeding the 8 million-liter-per-second threshold that triggers a preventive shutdown of the structure.

The concessionaire Urbia + Cataratas maintains continuous monitoring of the flow to ensure tourist safety. Iguaçu National Park remains open every day, with operating hours Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the All Souls' Day holiday, from October 31 to November 2, entry will be at 8 a.m.

To avoid lines, it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance through the official website (www.cataratasdoiguacu.com.br) and select a time slot. Dawn, sunset, and night tours have limited availability.
