Black Friday in Ciudad del Este 2026: dates, discounts and how to make the most of it

• Friday, November 20, is Black Consciousness Day, a holiday in Brazil. Expect more Brazilians crossing that day.
• The Integration Bridge is not an option for shoppers: only resident cars with a DTVF pass, 7 am to 1 pm, and goods bought in Paraguay cannot come back that way.

Is it worth it?

It depends on the product and the exchange rate. An expensive electronic can pay off even with tax; a cheap item rarely justifies the trip on the discount alone.

The part the discount does not cover

Two costs sit outside the sale price and decide whether the trip pays off.

The first is the allowance: purchases above the duty-free limit are taxed on return, and Black Friday is exactly when people go over it without noticing. Work the total out before you cross with the allowance calculator.

Crossing on the busiest days of the year

Black Friday weekend is the heaviest shopping flow of the calendar on the Friendship Bridge. The trading window is short, because the commercial centre opens around 07:00 and closes between 16:00 and 17:00, so the practical advice is the opposite of the instinct: cross early, not after lunch.
