Free activities from November 8 to 21, 2026
The eighth edition of the Latin American 3 Margins Film Festival runs from November 8 to 21, 2026, with venues in Foz do Iguaçu, Puerto Iguazú and Ciudad del Este. All programmed activities are free and open to the public.
In Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, the local program includes a strategic forum, community screenings and the participation of a local short film in the official competition.
The central event in the Paraguayan territory is the forum "Alto Paraná, cinematic territory," scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The meeting takes place in the auditorium of the Rectorate of the National University of the East (UNE), located at Km 8, San Juan neighborhood. The goal is to lay the groundwork for the formal creation of the Alto Paraná Film Commission, aiming to position the department as a destination for audiovisual productions.
The program also includes the competitive section "Entre Ríos," where the short film "La Pandilla de San Antonio," directed by Maya Riquelme, represents Alto Paraná. For children, the showcase "La Mostrinha PY" screens shorts in Añua Róga (Santa Ana neighborhood) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. On November 11, a community outdoor screening will be held at location 1142 (Boquerón neighborhood).
The local agenda ends on November 19 at 7 p.m. with a special session in the Cineart theaters (Shopping Zuni), followed by a gathering at "El Almacén."
