Concessionaire EPR Iguaçu assesses conditions without blocking traffic
Starting November 1, 2026, the International Friendship Bridge linking Foz do Iguaçu to Paraguay is undergoing a technical inspection carried out by concessionaire EPR Iguaçu. The assessment, which includes eight structures in Paraná, does not impede vehicle or pedestrian traffic.

The inspection aims to update information on the bridge's condition and plan future maintenance and conservation interventions. The work is performed by specialized professionals and, according to the concessionaire, will not cause any closures or changes to traffic, allowing normal passage of vehicles and pedestrians during the activities.
In addition to the Friendship Bridge, the survey covers seven other structures, such as the Tigrinho viaduct in Guarapuava, the bridge over the Iguaçu River in Capitão Leônidas Marques, and the bridge over the Marrecas River in Francisco Beltrão. EPR Iguaçu executive director Silvio Caldas said that complementary inspections are essential for planning maintenance services with greater accuracy, aiming to ensure user safety.
The schedule foresees continued evaluations over the coming months, according to the concessionaire's plan.
